God has not only called us to gather as believers, but also to go into the world and make disciples of all nations. At Local Church, our Outreach Teams partner with trusted local non-profits to serve our community, meeting both physical and spiritual needs.

Outreach Events & Mission Trips
Outreach isn’t just something we talk about—it’s something we do together. Throughout the year, we host community outreach events in Knoxville and send teams on short-term mission trips around the world. These opportunities are a chance to serve, share the love of Jesus, and grow in your own faith as you step out of your comfort zone. The Koinōnia Network is a fellowship of churches united by the Gospel and committed to launching healthy, Gospel-formed movements. Local Church was planted in partnership with the network, and we voluntarily give 2% of our annual budget back to support planting more churches. Through coaching, collaboration, and shared vision, the network helps equip pastors and planters to see God’s Kingdom expand in Knoxville and around the world.

Charis In Action is a ministry based in Zambia that equips disciples of Jesus and empowers communities through church planting, pastoral training, education, medical care, and sustainable farming. Their mission is to see “life as God meant it to be” in places of deep need, combining the gospel with practical solutions for poverty and health. Local Church supports Charis In Action financially and regularly sends mission trip teams to serve alongside their work in Africa.

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) is a ministry that engages coaches and athletes with the gospel, helping them grow in Christ and influence the world through sports. Local Church partners specifically with Greater Knoxville FCA by supporting missionaries from our congregation who serve as “Full-Time Reps” on campuses in our area. We also come alongside their ministry through special projects and financial support, helping FCA impact the lives of students and coaches across East Tennessee.

Hope Resource Center is a faith-based medical clinic in Knoxville that provides cost-free healthcare for women, including pregnancy testing, ultrasounds, STI testing, women’s wellness care, and parenting support. Their mission is to equip women to make informed, healthy decisions for themselves and their families in a safe, compassionate environment. Local Church supports Hope Resource Center financially and participates in special projects that serve women in crisis and uphold the value of life in our community.

Safe Families for Children is a national movement of compassion that surrounds families in crisis with caring, volunteer support. The Knoxville chapter partners with churches and local agencies to provide safe, temporary homes for children while strengthening families in vulnerable situations. Local Church supports Safe Families financially and commissions our people to serve as Safe Families, opening their homes and lives to care for children and support parents in need.

You Matter is a ministry led by Local Church partner Kimber North that serves the unhoused community of Knoxville. Twice each year, Kim and her team organize outreach days focused on meeting tangible needs, offering resources, and sharing the hope of the gospel. Local Church supports You Matter by encouraging our people to serve alongside this ministry and by providing supplies and resources as needs arise.
